Body Love: Shoulders & Upper Back

Our increasingly sedentary modern lifestyle of sitting in a chair, in a car, looking down at our phones is wreaking havoc on our shoulders, upper back and necks. In this last workshop of the series, we’ll be integrating the work we’ve done in the upper and lower body to create a solid foundation for improved posture, reduced pain, and increased mobility in the shoulders and upper back. This workshop can be taken separately, but it is so much more powerful if you attend the whole series.

Enjoy Maya's signature blend of yoga anatomy, stretching, good postural alignment and philosophy combined with a self-massage using therapy balls. In this last in a series of workshops at People’s Yoga, Maya will take the time to break down the details of what’s happening in this area of your body and how to keep it mobile, healthy and pain free. You'll leave this workshops feeling relaxed and calm and take home specific practices to keep you feeling good! 

All participants get one set of Yoga Therapy Balls for just $10. We will use therapy balls in class, so bring your pair if you already have them, or purchase a pair in studio. Option to purchase the therapy balls when you register and pay for the workshop on the People’s Yoga website.
